Lincoln MKT Concept

At last, a beautiful looker from Lincoln... albeit a crossover but I like the styling.

Surprisingly, I think that front end looks pretty damn sharp.

Not digging the accent line / crease in the sheetmetal that runs just below the actual beltline. It looks OK in the car's midsection, but looks awkward from the point where the rear door beltline kicks up to the point where the crease turns downward again by the taillights.

Saw another pic on Autoblog (plus the one Z28x posted), and the character line isn't as bad as I thought based on the first pic. There is actually more depth there that the direct side shots don't reveal.

It's growing on me.

The rear makes me think of the Subie Tribeca a bit. Also, while the front looks cool from a directly head on view, the front 1/4 view gave me a moment's pause.

No matter what, though, it is definitely better than the crossover they currently have...

I like it too. It actually looks futuristic. A rarity for Lincoln. I don't see why it couldn't be a Town Car replacement. Looks like it would be big enough to make the livery companies happy. Could probably even handle a stretch.

If that car was on dealer lots for sale today, it would be gone.
I think it one-ups the Chrysler 300 for appeal.

Don't see it as a TC replacement though. There are so many "old-timers" here that aspired to own a Town Car in their retirement, and that's all they know. I see as many TCs in the rural area where I live as I do Crown Vics. These old farmers think that is the top of the heap, and they have no interest in crossovers or SUVs. They own work trucks, and luxury cars, plain and simple.

I like it very much - think it would do well if launched as-is.

I read recently that the town car is supposed to be extended indefinitly, the fleet sales to limo and taxis are strong enough to continue production.

As for the concept, the rear quarter needs fixin'.

Also the roof line is too sloped, this will not allow for the ever important third row that most the competition offers, like the Pilot and Enclave. Even with two rows that roof kills the cargo space.

I don't love it. I like the idea of the split grill. Lower intake is a bit overdone, and the back is very underdone, but overall I like it.
