Lexus Tries to Redefine 'Top of the Line"
Its probably a hybrid out of necessity... lol
"How is the hybrid concept coming?"
"Well, we have a fine car but its getting less than 20mpg with the gas motor so we are changing to a hybrid drivetrain"
"Thats ok. We'll simply define it as a revolutionary product and have American magazines sell the idea for us!"
"Good enough. Im going on smoke break"

It's funny how Lexus/Toyota can come out with cars like this and not see any problems with their image of "fuel efficient" cars. I mean, compare apples to apples, they really don't get better mileage except for the prius. If GM ever makes the Volt, I think that would take care of that comparison, but would the public change its opinion?

In other words, they don't buy a Lexus.
I'm not sure this car should have happened. The hybrid system makes the car less desirable in almost every category except if you just have to have a hybrid. And the car looks like a run of the mill Lexus. Ok for a car that is half the price of this. We'll see what happens. Production is low enough it probably won't matter too much.
