Lets talk weight and where it adds up...
Actually, I think the difference between Challenger and Camaro is down to the Hemi having an iron block, and the Camaro people working harder on weight reduction. The Challenger weighs exactly the same as the sedan on which it's based, while the Camaro is around 150 pounds lighter. I'm guessing only 50 pounds is due to less rear seat space.
You could also pick the best virtues from each car and design your own version (i.e. Mustang's size, Camaro's engine, etc...) but we don't have that luxury. In this context, Camaro is easily the most sophisticated drive. To me, that's more important than talking about pros/cons of relative items in each car.
I hope I'm clearer but I can understand if readers still don't comprehend my point.
Yes, sure, but what I meant to say was one car offsets the weight disparity of the other car in some way (i.e. Mustang engine is heavier than Camaro's but Mustang has the lighter rear suspension of the two).

According to Ford the 3v 4.6 now weighs 440 pounds dressed (up 20 lbs from the 420 lbs weight in the 2008 FRPP catalog), but you could say its a poorly packaged since it displaces nearly 80 less cubes, produces 126 less HP and takes up more realestate in width and height (can't remeber width, but it might be a bit shorter)

Do you have a source for the weight of the 4.6 3V? I've seen the same (or a similar number) too, but can't find it to save my life.
Also, I cannot find a "fully dressed" weight for the LS3. The GM Performance Parts Catalog lists the weight at 415 lbs, but from the pictures, that doesn't look complete.
Thanks!
Bob
