BEAUTIFUL!

I'm looking for another Camaro myself. Maybe an '83 or '84 HO 5 speed Z/28....or anything else that looks interesting.

The blue 68 RS is what made me call. It was already sold to a dealer in LA, so it'll probably be back on the market soon. However the blue car had problems, and enough door dings and rock chips to require a new paint job.

The gold car is much cleaner. It has a 22 year-old laquer paint job that looks like it was painted 18 months ago. It's fully documented back to 1967. The last owner has had it in the garage most of the time under a cover, so it's super clean.

Its also got classic vintage glass packs! Totally retro.

If I do anything it'll probably just be an Edlebrock Performer intake and 750 cfm Q-Jet.

Now if I can just talk my wife out of making me sell my 95 Z/28.

Sorry to hear your selling it, but.....
I’m looking for a 95 Z. 95's are the best in my opinion. I wont have the money to buy until the end of summer after I work. When are you looking to put it up for sale? How much are you looking to sell it for? What are the details of the car (mileage, options and such.) Id love to have another green Camaro to match my V6. I'm looking for the “perfect” car so I’m looking nation wide.

I didn't like the color either.... then I saw it in person! right now I plan on attending to the little things it needs, like a carb adjustment and probably some new belts. (They squeak.) I'm leaning towards keeping it retro looking, the 22 year-old paint job is clean, but it does have rock chips. This'll end up being a weekend cruiser. Just some minor tweaks to make it fun to drive and reliable... like new shocks.... its already got new rear leafs and its also got the front disc conversion a year ago... it actually stops better than my '95 z/28.

Stephan, "If" I sell the '95 it won't be until the end of the summer anyway. However it won't be cheap. It's super clean and has less than 48K miles on it. I'm hoping I can talk the Mrs. into letting me keep the '95 until the '07 Camaros come out.

Neither car is, or will be a daily driver (the '95 was) as I also have a '02 Tahoe LS.

ONLY 48K? I want your Z! If the Mrs. says it has to go, sell it to me and it will stay in super clean condition. I'm not too worried about the "not cheap part", I'm getting a job at the GM plant here this summer for $17 an hour. But seriously, contact me if you have to get rid of it and consider it sold.

OMG! That is soooo gorgeous!!! Guess you can tell I'm a chick, huh?! I have thought about buying a 1st gen. Camaro for a long time. Did you buy yours in that showroom condition or did you work on it? Where does one begin to look? I'm not going to be nosy and ask you exactly what you paid, but was it over/under $20k? Oh to dream ... to find one that looks like yours. I know that those cars are lacking in many "creature comforts" and safety items in today's cars, but I think they were the best-looking generation ever. My mechanic used to have a '70 Stang that he loaned to his good customers ... that thing was a bear to drive in rush hour! But to have a weekend car like yours ... sigh ...
Sorry I missed your questions earlier:

Condition? Purchased in that condition. Not showroom, however it is what I'd consider "mint." Fully documented back to 1967. (Includes protecto-plate) Original California car never left the northern part of the state.

Where to look? I found it on collectorcartraderonline.com but I've actually been looking since September.

Price? Less than $14K.

Thanks for answering my questions. Certainly worth the price to have something unique. I can understand why many don't like "retro," but I wouldn't be unhappy if the 5th gen. looked like your gold car! Enjoy!

So would I... so would I.
