If they still made 2002 F-cars, would you buy a new one today?

I chose no because for 26K+ I would expect better interior and more refined components in 2005.
Although a nice '02 SS convertible 35th ann edition is still looking awesome.

Not sure how to answer this. I am not in a financial psition to b uy a new car until the end of 2007/beginning of 2008 (hence the reason I don't own a GTO).
But if I did not have 2 car payments already, would have been a tough choice between a SS and a GTO. Most likely the SS would have won, Camaro's are just "right" for me.
Being that I cannot buy one at this time, I guess I have to vote no.

You know, I never once considered buying a new 4th gen. It was a combination of disappointment and anger in the way it was designed, executed and marketed that prohibited me from ever buying one.
But something funny has come over me lately. I'm looking at 4th gens with a sort of nostalgic fondness. Some - but not all - of the bitterness may be subsiding.
One of my friends recently added a 35th anniversary, six speed convertible to his Camaro collection. I took a long hard look at it and thought.....this could be a car I'd like to own one day.
But would I spend $30-$35K on a "new" 2002 Camaro? Not a chance.

Re: If they still made 2002 F-cars, would you buy a new one today?
I answered no, but it sort of depends. If they put the LS2 in the f-body then I would have to really consider it. It would also depend on if they had done an interior freshening by now...better dash materials. IF it was the same car with an LS-1, same interior, same exterior...then no.
Re: If they still made 2002 F-cars, would you buy a new one today?
NO, Not after driving a GTO.
GTO is like an BMW M3 with LS2. So basically to me it is like "would you rather have a F-body or 400HP/400tq LS2 M3 for the same money."

I voted yes...I'll take an all black '02 Trans Am WS6 w/ the bilstein level 2 package, 6 speed, t-tops. Those cars are so sick looking, they are on of the meanest looking cars ever, bar-none. And while I love the way they look many people find them offensive looking and that makes them even better
I would take one any day over the new '05 Mustang which in comparison looks cute and boring
The fact that they are faster and better handling among other things doesn't hurt.
Honestly if they brought the cars back today, basically the same as they were in '02 except w/ some nice updates, (Better build quality, nicer interior and such, and an LS2), I would be all for it. Even if they brought them back w/o doing any of that I'd still want one, (the LS2 would be real nice though)
