All the cues of the GT-R point to the Boss, not Cobra. Ford is pretty hush hush about it too

 

Stylistically (and the motor displacing 302ci), it might have some ties to the old Boss's, but Ford's factory racers over the last decade have carried the Cobra R badging and so i wouldn't rule that out. If there's to be a Cobra R in the near future, it'll have definite ties to this i think.

 

True, but then again Ford is just recently bringing back the old packages (like Mach1) and other special editions (Bullitt). I think the Cobra R will have it's own look and be a completey SVT car with no ties to the past.

 

That car looks sooooooo much better than the production 05'! Except the wing, which I understand its necessity, and that exhaust is UGLY! Why couldnt Ford put THAT nose on the production model. Looks so much better than those stick on lights and such they opted for. Front end of the production 05'=
