Thumbs up I'd like to see Ford build this...

...for street use that is.

The Mustang GTR.

I may have to have a blue oval in the driveway if this thing ever made it to street production:

This next one gives me chills:

That spoiler is ridiculous. Other than that, it does have some things that look better than the regular 05 M*stang though.

Re: I'd like to see Ford build this...

It looks too much like a Hot Wheels or a Matchbox car to me...

I'm mixed on the spoiler. For the GTR's true use, its probably pratical. Look at the Corvette in the same race trim package.

I agree also on the looks vs the regular '05 tho. Looks a lot nicer if you ask me.

Yeah, it looks way too much like a cartoon. I will tell you one thing I like about it and that is the indention behind the front wheel. I think that looks pretty nice and aggressive.

By saying it looks cartoony, are you doubting its potential?

Let me remind you of a similar packaged car:

... and we all know what this car is capable of.

The big difference is the C5-R is not for street use.

I doubt this GTR would be either. If you look at the pics, the interior is full roll caged and single race seat.

I'm a bit confused then... because you titled the thread:

Ugh. I'd like to see a C5R for street use as well. The low stance, body enhancements, etc....

The GTR looks agreesive and has 440hp to boot. THATS what I want to see built.

It doesn't have to be a race car, just a suped up (higher than GT) model. Maybe call it a Cobra if it looks like that.

Allrighty then...

Still looks like a Hotwheels car, IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the next Cobra R modeled after this.
