Horrible, horrible 2007 GTO concept im Motor Trend...
Horrible, horrible 2007 GTO concept im Road and Track
This thing looks like a 69 GTO and the 99 Orange GTO concept had a crack baby. I hope thier artist was just grabing at straws

Just IMHO....I think the front end looks pretty good. It's a great modern interpretation of a '66-'67 GTO. It's got those GTO heritage cues that everyone wanted.
I'd rather it wasn't a two tone though.

Oh,
When I saw the thread title I thought you meant this one; which would really give the "GTO looks like a GrandAm/Grand Prix" camp a good laugh...
Personally, I think this "crackbaby" has conditional promise - If this is indeed accurate, I would think this look would be severely softened up for production...
Either way, between those GodAweful™ headlights is, potentially, a mean looking SOB!

imo, the body itself doesn't look bad at all
the hood scoops...they're ok
i think if you change the front end up (save the grills) then it could be one sweet looking car
but when i first saw it, i immediately said "cadillac front end" (pretty much because of those headlights)
i say incorporate some 'pontiacesque' headlights, and a few changes to the front overall, and it could be a real sharp car
also though, skip the wheels, they don't do it for me
o, didnt see the vert at the bottom til now
i'd say i like the coupe waaay better
edit: one more thing, add a spoiler

I like the grill (reminds me of my 67 Tempest), but the rest of the front end needs work (how about adding some fake chrome). To me the mystique of the old GTO was its style-something missing from the 04 car.

I actually like it...its not GTO..but could be something...would be a great sunfire replacement..and Caddy did come to mind when I saw that...
it would be a cool car if it was RWD and a LS series engine in it..no matter what

Get rid of the obvious exagerations and I can see it. Has a CTS kind of feel.
I like a design that has tumble home and "shoulders".....early Ponchos' had the stacked headlights too.
The overall theme is good....not liking the wrap around feature that wraps the front end to the headlights though.....a good start none the less.

I rather like the car.
Good size, good proportions.
It just needs detail work.
The side window upper line needs more upward curve to it. Make it look more conventional.
The line over the front wheel well opening needs more upward curve to it and needs to end under the side mirror.
The belt line needs to be more like the Caddy 16. The '68 and '69 GTOs had the same line.
I like the grilles. I'm not sure if the stacked lights work. Makes me think of the SRX.
Also not sure if hood line higher than fender looks right on a car. Should be smoother here.
But definately could be a real nice concept.

Doug,
You fixed the window line. Thanks and good job. That's much better.
I think I'd like to see the area of the front bumper that's recessed to be made even with the bottom and the corners of the front end.
And those 2 small air intakes in the front bumper. Maybe make those about twice the size they are now, install driving lights in them, and put the chrome cross-hair in them.
And that body line above the front wheel opening. That needs to be changed. See my above post.

Looks like it has potential. It just needs some cleaning up!
-Hoodscoops look nice
-Grill looks good too
-The rear fender flares would look nice on a Camaro!
-What's with the huge roof gutters?
-Don't like the "2 level" front facia
