So did GM basically get the screws on the whole Honda engine deal . GM IS using that very same Honda 3.5 in the Vue instead of GM's 3.6 , I thought Honda was supposed to using GM V8's in a truck as per agreement ?
Re: honda ridgeline-possibly the ugliest truck ever produced?
I think Honda was going to use a GM/Isuzu diesel in foriegn markets if GM got the V6. Or something like that.
Anyways, that whole arragenment seems retarded to me. It tarnishs the name of GM. To think that the largest automotive company has to buy a V6 from its competitor is ridiculus. I bet that Honda is paying a lucritive sum of $$$ for this deal though.

Well, Cadillac had the ***** to make an avalance type thing also...I thought that more absurd to be honest.
Unlike my truck (2003), which listed an am/fm radio as an option, I'm sure that Honda 'truck' will have cd/mp3 player standard on all, and probably a flip makeup mirror/light sunvisor on driver and passenger sides.

I guess if they didn't try marketing it as so "rough and tough", people wouldn't be complaing so much about it.
So far, all the praise as come from the car side of the media.. I wonder how the truck side of the reviewers will take it overall... probably not too well.

Re: honda ridgeline-possibly the ugliest truck ever produced?
Just a small point on big trucks. Big truck companies can spin the C-frame explanations all they want, but the truth remains just that........... the truth.
The truth is that they will not box the frames on big trucks because that will add alot of weight (just look at the weight increase that came in the F150, which primarily came from the frame). Big trucks have a limit of 80,000 lbs combined........... for truck and trailer. The heavier the truck, the lighter the load has to be, the less money the trucking company makes.
Pure economics are involved here.
As for the hideous Ridgeline, it better drive like a car.......... its based on a damn minivan for Christs sake.
What a pathetic excuse for a truck.

I guess that I'm the only one here that would even consider driving it. That is, if they offer a V8 or diesel engine and increase the tow rating.
There is a solution to that big H on the grille. BILLET!!!
