Re: honda ridgeline-possibly the ugliest truck ever produced?
It should sell good with girls when they first come out...then feminine men after its initial release...like all Hondas.
It makes the Colorado look like a prom dream date.
To answer the question: yes.

Nope, that honor goes to either the plastic fantastic Avalanche or that Hudson half car/half truck thing from the late '40s.
I like the Ridgeline,i think it's neat looking and it has some cool features, and it should be the best compromise for those wanting a car and a truck.......and YES,it will sell....beware Explorer Sport-trac!

I cant...cant belive they can take a Minivan based truck, and give it a super off roading image...
and the front end makes the Element look tasteful.

I still think the Avalanche and Escalade EXT look awesome(without the cladding of course) and I don't even like trucks. What are the dimensions of the Ridgeline? In the commercials it doesn't look as large as the Lanche or EXT.
Re: honda ridgeline-possibly the ugliest truck ever produced?
Ridgeline? Why not name it Honda Avalanche and be done with it.
They are both pretty much equal in the looks department. And I don't mean that in the good way, either... :blah: IMO, of course.

I seriously hope it will fail. Very flawed concept for a truck.
Honda isn't assured of anything. They have had a few products that were less then stellar and did not last long.
The Passport Minivan from the mid 90's and Civic De Sol come to mind.

Re: honda ridgeline-possibly the ugliest truck ever produced?
Honda is trying to market a full-size truck with its top engine being a wimpy 3.5 V6 (they refuse to develop a V8 even when it's absolutely necessary I guess)....can't see it selling to any serious truck buyers, the payload and pulling capacities aren't competitive. The goal is to sell 100,000 a year, curiously that is the exact same bar Nissan put up for the Titan, which is twice the truck this Honda is and last I checked they struggled to move 30,000 in '04. Still, there just might be enough wanna-be's out there to make Ridgeline a lukewarm success for Honda.
By the way, can the 'H' get any bigger on the front?

I damn near fell off the couch laughing. Maybe someone is going for this tough guy image they're peddling, but it aint me.
Re: honda ridgeline-possibly the ugliest truck ever produced?
It may have a v6 but the reviews are saying it hangs with an f150 in towing. Did you guys see the superbowl commercial? It was shooting up what looked like a volcano. Doing a few jumps and trying to look tuff. Are they really trying to act like this thing is a true offroad truck or are they just trying a toyota highlander style ad campaign?
