Holden's "GTO"

Yes, Holden has been making a Monaro GTO for over a year. But this is their version of the US GTO (with out GTO's upgrades & changes), called the CV8-R:

I love the styling of those Holdens. It is extremely refreshing to see a vehicle without sharp angular lines.

Isn't the nose and taillight area of the 2004 Holdens getting updated; a bit more angular?

And I LOVE that black and white interior. That should be available on the US GTOs.

I remember when Pontiac used to use a scheme like that in 60s and early 70s model Pontiacs. The dash, carpet, and console would be black while the seats, door panels, and headliner would be white (or parchment).

I don't think its anything special...

New wheels and Seats and a colour taken from the base commodore.. thats IT!

Theres just something about the azz end of the Monaro that doesn't look right. I think its the size of the panel above the rear wheel well, its jsut huge. Other than that, these cars are stunning.

Ricer???? are you talking about the same car as the rest of us?

So making the new a RWD V8 coupe that is faster than any production GTO ever built with BMW level quality at an afordable price is a discrace???? I guess you would rather have the GTO be a FWD 4 banger with a cool sticker package.

That looks nothing like any of the cars you mentioned. Celica?!!?

I'm glad they aren't going retro. It looks great in my opinion.

GTO

It is obvious that some of you haven't owned a GTO I have (a 1969 GTO Judge) I am still cring that I totaled it. If you did you would feel different.
And all I am saying is dont depend on GM to get it right

it went from looking like this

http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/pic.m...num=3&num=1154

To looking like this

http://www.imakenews.com/autospies/e...e000077744.cfm

Take a look and tell me which you prefer
Even the gran prix has a more aggressive look
