I believe that GM's share of the minivan market is going to greatly decline when these new re-designs come out. The old ones look much better, even though they are now dated compared to the rest of the market. What is it with the GM stylist?

GM hire me I can design a better looking minivan than that.

I don';t see a braintwister here Nissan has a minivan. So then f Pontiac is trying to be like them....why sholdn't they have a minivan?

And that Nissan Quest fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down....nasty!

I thought Pontiac was trying to be more like BMW, not Nissan? If that's the case, BMW doesn't offer a minivan so it would make sense for Pontiac to do likewise, no?

You hit the entire issue on the head Al.

Minivans have been market studied to death, and it's buyers are a conservative bunch. That's why DaimlerChrysler, Ford, and of course, GM are all introducing minivans that don't blaze any trails in the styling department. IMHO GM is the more daring of the group because they stuck on a new nose, while everyone else's minivan looks like warmed over versions of the old ones.

I'm sure those of you who have one, bought your's because it had a 4 star crash rating, or had an interior that was nice, or the seats fold down easily, or it's a nice vehicle to take the family out in, or a host of other reasons that didn't revolve around stunning looks (unless we're talking about the Aztec), or the wife wanted one.

GM's minvans will do very well in the marketplace just on the interior alone. Throw in all the other benefits these vans have, including GM's tendancy to market things at firesale prices, rebates & incentives included, and GM will sell every one they make (doesn't matter which division sells what, they all come from the same assembly line, and they're all paying towards the redesign).
