Maybe about a year ago...or maybe less, we had a thread here with a link to some future powertrain info from GM.

In this link, there was...what appeared like a slide....which described versions of GM's then upcoming GENIV V8's. Two different 6.0L engines for passenger cars were listed. A high output version...which I believe to be the LS2, and a milder 6.0L version.


Does anyone remember the link?

 

I believe this was a powertrain .pdf file that got out and was promptly removed from most messageboards. I imagine some people saved it before it disappeared.

 

I believe you're correct. That one powertrain slide was the only thing that I found interesting....but even that one didn't have much detail.

So for passenger cars, we've got:

5.3L LS4

6.0L Lxx

6.0L LS2

7.0L LS7

Anyone have anything to add?

 

The LS7 is a 6.4 litre isnt it? ive talked to a guy who works for a parts supplier and says they already started making ntake manifold gaskets for the LS7 and that it was a 6.4 litre.

 

The LS7 was going to be 6.4L....now it looks like it will be 7.0L.
