Yeah, O........K there. So I should've been more clear. I will now say it a better way to please DXed and his friend. I Do Not Like The A-Pillars Painted Black Which Gives The Roof An All Blacked-Out Look. (just like I also disliked the 4th Gen black roof thing, although this is different) I Would Rather They Keep Them Body Colored. That's what I meant even if it came out wierd. Happy now? Are you?

I wish my third gen had "indexing". When you close the last door, the door seems to jump back and never close right unless you give it a good push.... just one of thoes things that bug me.

How is the vertical A-Pillar... "the roof"? I guess I can call the gas tank filler door "the trunk" then?!?!?

Also, Corvette has never had body colored A-Pillars except for 63-67... so it's not like this is something new dumped on you.

Anyway, a body colored A-Pillar really can "fatten up" the look of the front windshield area... oh, wait... the 3rd Gen Camaros were this way... so obviously it is the only way to go.

gosh guys, take it light on this guy, he's not trying to pick an arguement... just because he didn't have the correct term off the top of his head doesn't mean he should be treated like an idiot....
in anycase. i am still getting emails from the board about this thread "new messeges" and i'd rather not come back here time and again, just to read about someone trashing someone else...

jason was nice enough to post a pic and describe his experience, let's please get back to the subject.

If someone's gonna complain, they should do so in an intelligent fashion, or in a way that is at least comprehendable.

Everyone expresses themselves in their own way, and it usually isn't very nice to pick their words and mannerisms apart.

Can we move on, please?

Re: Have a look at what I took a short test drive in...

Airflow WILL be restricted.

Interesting anecdote on airflow and bottom breathers......we did not offer the "rally sport" (ground effects) on the LT1 Camaro...and the reason was that the front 'chin' spoiler DID in fact disrupt airflow to the point that under severe conditions, you could invoke an overheat situation. (full load, full A/C on, with trailer)............................

so.........while we all agree that the license plate holder looks bad....I defy someone to come up with a better design........again...that will allow airflow, will not obstruct lighting standards, and pass impact standards......

I like PacerX's solution!!!!!

Re: Have a look at what I took a short test drive in...

I wonder what would happen if a large automotive manufacturer (such as GM) were to lobby against front mount license plates? That way they wouldn't ever have to worry about styling problems or airflow problems

Here's something else they could use to help their arguement. When a sports car such as a Corvette has a low speed collision with a pedestrian, which is more likely to injure the pedestrian? The smooth plastic bumper or the tacked on metal license plate with sharp edges? Hmmm...

Thanks. (And to JD too) The longer you stick around guitardedjf, you'll notice this kind of "attitude" from a select few of the regulars.

Fine... I'll add "A Pillars" as a new definition for "black roof" in my dictionary... :blah:

It's like our own home grown brand of ebonics.

Someone leave me their decoder ring on their way out...

I don't like the all-black roof effect caused by the pillars being black, that's it, done. Maybe I should go edit just for you.

I liked you original reply too though before you edited it.
