But anyway, that sounds awesome.

Lifted it from ferrari.
I was in a 360 (I think an 02) pretty cool. Saves the weather striping

Guess you don't like the "black roof" look of T-Tops on Camaro's either, then IZ28??
No no, I meant the pillars. I think they should be body color. And of course I like the black roof look of T-Tops. (but I dislike all-black roof trim) Some people.

I suggest those of you who still don't like the C6 styling should wait until you have seen one in person and walked around it before condemning it. Its a totally different car in person and has a really significant "presence" about it.

There is a keyhole under the little overhang that is over the license plate. You cannot see it easily, you pretty much have to get down on one knee behind the car. You have to take the key and point it straight up to get it into the keyhole. Turn the key and the hatch pops. Inside the hatch are two pull tabs that manually release the doors.

Yes, the C6 is the same way.

I agree with this. A 2D image cannot easily capture the multiple planes of the car's shape.

Oh I like the body of the C6, matter of fact I like the look whole car pretty much, except for those headlights. Don't know if I think it looks better than the C5 yet though.

Uh... strike two there chief... you mean the A-pillars? OK... never heard anyone refer to them as the "roof" before.

Nice attempt to save face though. C'mon.

My friend's BMW 3-series does the same thing. It's done quite well for the past 4 years. It's a neat thing to watch.

Ya, I knew about the keyhole thing... but my point was more of if the battery died, even with the keyhole release, how would the window go down/up when opening and closing?

Couldn't this cause damage to the window and or weatherstipping if it is not meant to open or close with the window not dropping slightly?

Re: Have a look at what I took a short test drive in...

the window drop is called "indexing".....it is done primarily to allow to door to close easily as the air is "compressed" into the cabin.....without the indexing feature, the doors hit 'resistance' in air pressure.......thus the feature. You can open the doors without the window indexing....the rear hatch has an electric 'pull-down' for the same reason....easier to close the hatch.

And.....to those who do not like the C6.....or any other new car.....if you have NOT seen the car in person yet, then I think you should wait to see a new car in person before judging......a picture in a catalog or on the internet can NEVER allow you to see all the stying nuances.

I've seen people declare their dislike for a car or truck time and time again...only to change their opinion once they see the vehicle in person and have time to really look at it.

What a hassle, I guess the best thing to do is make sure your batteries are always juiced in the FOB. Friend of mine at work and I were talking about the potential downsides of all the electric whiz bangs in the C6. Another one we questioned was the lack of steering wheel radio controls. I know D.H. said it was a sports car, and sports cars don't have such things...but in a recent issue of C&D or R&T or something, they had a comparo of GT/sports cars from Ferrari/Porsche on down, and every one of them had radio controls on the wheel. If it's good enough for them, not to mention Bently and Aston Martin, maybe the Chevy could see fit to have them. At least w/ the DVD nav option. The touch screen makes it even worse, as you are guaranteed to have to look at it to change stations, or tracks or volume or whatever. At least you can feel your way around w/ traditional ***** and not generaly have to look at it to adjust volume. Just seemed odd that you'd give a sports car such non-sportscar features like heated seats and a navigation systems, but not redundant radio controls. I would go out on a limb and even say there is more saftey built into steering wheel controls than there are in DRL's, but that may be a stretch.

Now don't get me wrong, I love the C6...only lukewarm on the headlights though...and fully intend to have one someday (note sig). But there are just a few things that I would have liked done differently. Another thing..please tell me that the front liscense plate bracket that showed up in the BG pictures was some sort of pre-production piece. If ever there were an uglier way to mount a plate on the front of a vette, I've never seen it . If not, then I hope Mid America steps up to the "plate" soon.

EDIT: My bad on the Nav system, went back and looked at my C6 pix, and there is a track seek button, and what appears to be a volume **** on the Nav/radio.

This is true. I've like the C6 from the first un-disguised pics, but seeing the convert in person at the 'Vette auction last month really gave me a new appreciaition for it's 'presence'. It's a beautiful car (although I'd be interested in talking to a designer about the decision to have the black plastic around the third tail light).

However, I've seen many 300C, Magnums, and '05 Mustangs in person and still don't like any of them.

Thanks for the clarification.

SO, by this, there would be no damage to the window or the weatherstrip if the bettery was dead, and the window could not drop upon opening/closing...

Thank you!
