mind you, this does little to move a 8000 lbs sausage, albeit a square sausage. double those values, and we have something of an athlete.

i really like the looks of H2, this H3 is also looking good. I wish, though, that it would have a V8 under its hood - a truck of this heritage should have a good sounding engine with a rumble..... Although... brrrr...pffffft.... brrrrrr.....pppffffffttt... also sounds pretty good with the blow-off valve

I really like the H3 concept. It has the styling elements that have made the H2 a success, and will likely have a reasonable price too if productionized. Someone mentioned Hot Wheels... I for one am GLAD it has some similarity with one since Hot Wheels makes some of the coolest cars on the planet. They are not afraid to put out wild new creative designs (example: Muscle Tone). The "real" carmakers could learn a thing or two by studying Hot Wheels cars for indications of what the buying public wants.

The H3 is built on the Colorado, so it cant way too much more than the 4000lb Colorado

Underneath, H3T is powered by a 350-hp, 350-lb-ft turbocharged variable-valve version of the Colorado/Canyon 3.5-liter inline five, mated to a four-speed automatic.
A Colorado is about 3500 lbs? 4000 lbs + 350 hp/tq would be sweet. Doesn't GM have a newer 5 or 6 speed automatic they could use?

I think the interior of the show car looks pretty nifty too... Big question is how substantial the materials, buttons, and switches feel.... i would pass on the fabric roof and opt for a hardtop.

I think if that truck went into production like that, and had good specs and feel to it all around.. I'd definantly would take a look at it.

“Not all Hummers have to be big, not all Hummers have to be SUVs, and Hummers can be fuel-efficient,” says H3T and Hummer design director Clay Dean.
Does that mean they are thinking of making a hybrid? Wuold be interesting, especially if they make the electric motor powerful enough to push the car by itself... and work as a generator.. and still have the drivetrain strong enough to do work.. Would be nice for car camping, treading thru silently with just the electric motors. Something like a 225 hp + 100 hp eletric motor can be interesting..

Gah, I think the hybrid propaganda machines are working on me..
