GTO poll. What should it cost?
Re: GTO poll. What should it cost?
I voted for 32. I could also be sold on 30.
We all know Camaros will quickly reach that level, GTO should have more standard and be more refined.
All those options that some people are gonna want on the Camaro that people will rail against should be available on the GTO.

Re: GTO poll. What should it cost?
Yeah, we'd need to know what content to start w/, if there are any options that is. If loaded only like this last one, I'd say 32-34. I don't think the price was so bad on this last car, just the styling just didn't capture many peoples imagination.
Re: GTO poll. What should it cost?
I said 29.5, that should be for a GTO basically optioned as is, then allow further options (HUD, Heated Seats, Nav etc.). Since the car is most likely not envisioned as a high numbers seller, I think they could get away with 15-20k sales in that price rabge, especially with a more muscular look (not that the current GTO is bad, I am fighting myself daily not to go out and buy one).
Re: GTO poll. What should it cost?
I voted $32K. It has pretty much every option out there save Nav and a sunroof. That is pretty topped out. Also I am assuming this will be in 09 dollars.
Also when compared to a loaded Firehawk it is pretty even with it in price.

Re: GTO poll. What should it cost?
I voted $29,xxx.
There's the psychological border of $30k that is avoided... plus the current content does leave a few items out (available on Monaro) that should probably have been included with the current GTO for the asking price, IMO.

I'd like to see $28,995 for a base GTO and $25,995 for a base V8 Camaro.
Re: GTO poll. What should it cost?
I voted $29,500 even though that is about average for the cost of cars now adays. However, a the GTO option structure would have to be greatly different. For the current 'no option' GTO, the pricing is fair, IMO.
Re: GTO poll. What should it cost?
I don't care if it's $34,500. It was a good value even at that price. The main problem for a GTO at that price is not anything about the car but rather the brand that surrounds it. Pontiac needs to have several enticing options in the $20's to get that guy who wanted a GTO but needed the trunk, or the extra doors. Read some threads on clubgp, and you'll see that a great many GXP owners were those who had originally considered a Goat.
