Next gen Monte Carlo poll.
Re: Next gen Monte Carlo poll.
I voted to have it axed. Nothing against MC's, I just don't think GM can justify having two V8 powered coupes in Chevy's lineup. I don't think making one FWD or bigger is going to matter that much.
Re: Next gen Monte Carlo poll.
I voted FWD. I'm betting guionM will point out how strong the sales are as a reason to continue the vehicle, and then will argue that the LX series beating the Wbodies could make a good case for piggybacking off Impala as a RWD...
But do Monte Carlo owners drive them because of or in spite of the fact that they are FWD? Or do they really care?
PS. If I was in charge, I probably would not continue that model. I am also not convinced we will see one anyway. I voted FWD bc if there had to be a Monte Carlo, that would make the most sense to me.

Whatever happens, it won't be called Chevelle. Other than about 7 guys on the internet, there is no interest in that name.

Re: Next gen Monte Carlo poll.
In my perfect world, I would stuck in a GM dealership, agonizing over which RWD 400 hp V8 with manual i should get.
Camaro - extreme styling (fat fenders with fat tire, small low greenhouse, long hood, short deck, just like the concept) and tuned for extreme performance, less luxury, for more perfromance
Monte Carlo - lots of raw power, but more conservative (read comfortable and pratical) styling for a coupe.. also more lux and quieter (and heavier) aka Chevy's GTO.
Imapla SS - kinda like the Monte Carlo, except its a big 4 door
and they all will share a big brake system(which will proliferate on all GM hi-po offerings), and the same 400 hp engine with a stout t60 6 speed and hd rear end. Suspension wise they would be similar too, except for different shock, spring, and swaybar setups.
