It is clear to me the GTO is nothing but a stopgap to fill the 2+2 V8 sport coupe segment for GM until something is done to replace it.
It looks nothing like any other pontiac except the grille. They know this but since it is a rush to market rebadged Holden then there is not much they can do about it. I'm sure the next GTO will be much more Pontiac-ish and have some heritage cues.

Now why that couldn't be put onto the car will keep me wondering. It's a really simple set up and exhaust isn't the hardest thing to develop for a car. I thought they'd be able to rush and create a set-up like that for the GTO in no time with a moved fuel tank.
I'll tell you why, because that would be the right thing to do, and we can't have that now can we?! Same goes for the hood, I mean there is still months to go.

the new GTO better list price at very low 30s.. here is why-
The Monaro has climate control - the GTO doesnt.
The show car has 18's - the production car has 17"
the show car has headers - the prod car has cast manifold
the show car has grooved rotors with gto emblems on the caliper - the prod car (doubt it)
the show car has an M12(6 speed box) - the prod. car has regular M6.
im especially pissed off about the box..

It is absolutely unthinkable that the car wont come with pipes like this.
One on each side of the car would be fine.
