The reason I didn't include those cars is because they tend to be tauter, more European-like rides. Maybe the Lucerne could be optioned to be a "floater"; I don't know.
The 300 definately does not fit the American luxo-barge description.

My dad likes this car. Not because its FWD. Because its big and roomy. Plus he likes the look. Too many "kids" in our town driving STSs (old and new).

DTS sells because of its size and what it offers, not because of what wheel drive it has. I think a RWD/AWD DTS would do even better. Add a S/C 4.4L and you can sell them for prices that the FWD DTS never could.

I'll take my DTS with FWD, thank you very much.

And, btw...

I think the DTS is the best ~$70,000 luxury car sold in this country, period.

You can have your MB's and BMW's with brick-hard seats and squashed interiors. I'll take the penultimate American Luxo-Cruiser any day, over any of them at that price point, including the STS4.

The Lucerne V8, btw, is a literally fantastic car for the money. The #2 American Luxo-Cruiser.

I like big, floaty, comfy American luxury cars. The European luxury cars do nothing for me, and I've driven more than my fair share.
