GM's 100 anniversary is in 2008.

It's probally a little early for this, but GM will be celebrating it's 100th anniversary in 2008.

Without mentioning anything about future plans, GM seems like it's going to have a extremely wide selection of to-die-for cars by this time as well, including the return of at least one well known and somewhat historic nameplate.

If GM's plans pan out, if the economy doesn't tank between now and then, if GM's market isn't eclipesd by Chrysler and Toyota (don't laugh, Chrysler's up to 14.3%, Toyota's grown 12.2% and GM's at 27.5 and dropping fast with no all new high profit trucks for another year and a half or bread & butter cars for 2 years), and if GM can work out their other issues, it seems GM's 100 year bash will be bigger than Fords.

I'd differ with the idea the have no bread/butter cars for the next two years. Have you noticed the sales on the Impala and Grand Prix? Not to mention the new Cobalt and G6, both winners from all indications. Lacrosse, same way. All good!

The Heritage Museum will be part of the celebration, but yes, will it not be amazing once the 100 year bash comes? I, for one of about 10 million automotive enthusiasts simply put can NOT wait.

I will have to make it out there for a little celebration. I had brought this up somewhere on GMI before, and thought about how all new cars are lined up or 08, and found that to be very very odd.
2008 should be outstanding.

***COUGH!-COUGH!-INCENTIVES-COUGH!-COUGH!***

I went to Ford 100 Bash. It was a extremely fun time for me and my wife. I hope GM's is atleast as nice. Remember bigger is not always better.

So do you think GM would rather one of these cars to debut on GM's 100th anniversary or on its own 40th anniversary?
