Here's the answer to your inquiry. No. GMC is a truck only division. They never made cars. If someone saw a GMC camaro going down the road, they'd be more likely to look at you like you're stupid than to look at your car and say OMGWTFBBQHI2U

OMFG!

I can't believe this thread is going on for three pages, nor that I'm actually adding to this nonsense.

Putting GMC badges on a CAMARO would be just like the dumbass we made fun of as kids that put TransAm firechicken stickers on a Ford LTD sedan.

Of course you lost me when you called my "friend" maro

Maybe you should change your screen-name to kickinthehead instead.

Seriously though... the craziest sticker job I ever saw.... Ford LTD four-door TransAm.

What's even funnier is I was working a Kragens at the time and this guy came in looking for parts for his Ford "TransAm" (yes he was dead serious). My buddy was working the counter and asked, don't you mean "Pontiac"? And the guy is like, "No, Ford... TransAm"... by buddy finally went out with the guy to "identify" this rare car. He comes back a few minutes later and says, "you've got to see this!"

So I go outside... a '76-78 medium green Ford LTD-II with tiny firechicken stickers on the B-pillars and doors, and a TransAm visor sticker on the windshield. (It was so damn hard not to die laughing at this guy!)

Ah... those were that days. Our entire crew was into musclecars... Camaros, Mustangs, TransAms, Rancheros, Cutlasses, etc... hmmm, no damn Mopars....

Actually, the GMC Sprint (like the El Camino) was far more car than truck. I guess you could say GMC never made a vehicle that was purely a car.

And Pontiac had the distinction of being the only "companion car" division that lasted longer than its parent company. Cadillac outlived it's "companion" LaSalle, Buick outlasted the Marquette and Olds abandoned the Viking, but Pontiac, introduced as the cheaper companion to Oakland, was such a smashing success that the parent, Oakland, was discontinued and Pontiac became the sole brand.
