Anyone know why not?
Similar to the other thread talking about Pontiac dealer possibly jacking G8 prices well over sticker.... I do not think that dealers are required to accept Suppler Pricing.

So... in other words, even though they'd make a decent profit selling it to you that way, they are holding out, because they hope to sell the Solstices/Skys (Skies?) at oor over MSRP to make more money.

Does that mean that GM Card earnings are optional for dealers to accept as well?

I am not sure... I suppose the could, but I doubt there would be any reason for them not to accept them, because I believe they get cash in the amount of your GM Card rebate money, so it's like handing them actual cash...

So, I don't think anyone would ever turn it down.

Keep in mind that GM Card money has never (with the possible exception of a special program that has occured once or twice if I remember right) been able to be used on any Saturn. The reasoning is that this would somehow affect the "one price for all" pricing structure for Saturn..... which ironically may be blown away if Saturn dealers try to gouge on Sky and other upcoming vehicles anyway.......

It's kind of a 2 part answer. The car has to be eligible for the discount from GM (which most hot new models are not), then it's up to the dealer whether they want to accept GMID or GMS, again on most hot new models they will not, at least in my experience. Currently, I can get GMS (employee price) on any Corvette coupe or vert, but I don't think it's available yet on the Z06, and even if it were, I would have a hard time finding a dealer willing to take it, since they're still selling them for sticker.

Sky is another one that I don't belive is available for GMS yet.

As far as the GM card points go, I think the dealer will take those anytime, keyword THINK.

Good luck w/ your hunting!
