I'm sure the Government will help them out.

GOOD! It would make me jump for joy to see them go under...except for the thousands of jobs that would be lost of course, GM is an eyesore to the automotive industry (minus the Vette). They just need to take a look at thier lineup to see whats wrong with the company....100% junk....what a bunch of followers.....

Sad to say I agree. I think you meant Chevy though, not GM. Chevy has the worst lineup of cars I've seen in a long time. Cadillac & Hummer can't sustain them forever.

Cadillac is making a **** ton of money. I've heard they can't make the CTS and STS's fast enough!

Re: GM looking at hard times

their bureaucracy seems insane

i think the "you don't understand the automotive industry" quote most people who think they're in the know has gotten old, aparently GM doesn't understand the automotive industry.

GM needs a management overhaul ... well, needed a management overhaul years ago.

All cars are junk. GM has come a long way and is now up there with the rest of the industry. They do however need to change their style with some cars and make them stand out more .

GM is has come along way......down hill...thier products are boreing and "yesterday"....GM's advertising is terrible.....my dad used to be a die hard GM fan and he just bought a new Honda Accord...why? GM makes nothing that grabs a person and say....I'd like to have a car like that....granted the Accord is not the most exciting vehicle but dad being old wanted sporty, quality, and fuel economy and he liked the way the Honda drove....GM..namely Chevy...makes great rental cars...thats it.

Their ad's recently have been a lot better. They are at least trying now, instead of just acting like the public should notice on their own.

Re: GM looking at hard times

the only thing i would ever consider from gm's lineup, is a corvette or a tahoe/same vehicle from sister brands. And thats only because i don't care about gas. Most people can't afford a truck/suv gas tab, and thats the foundation of ford and gms sales. Their cars are trash, i would never consider them.

the first thing i think of when someone wants an affordable economical car is a toyota/honda/lexus/acura.

hell, even if i was thinking of a pickup truck, i would prolly get a tundra/tacoma/titan
