GM just keeps on slapping them SS everywhere

Actually this is my favorite Chevette of all time. It was a Chevy engineering concept in the early '80s. According to GM sources at the time....it was something up their sleeve in case cars like Camaro were killed off by CAFE.

Dude, it's still a chevette. At least the fiero Gt's where good looking. That thing is just fugly!

I think that engineering Chevette was totally cool. A couple of years later, Chevy built a 5 speed version that was even faster.....and cooler.

Wasn't there also an experimental V8 Citation around the same time? (At least that's how I remember it.)

I'd rather have a RWD Chevette than an Aveo or any 90s GM small car I can think of..

You know I really don't know what desturbs me more. The fact that there was a Chevette SS or the fact that people actually like the car enough to make a website about them.
