Don't laugh too hard.

A girl I knew in high school actually drove a Chevette SS. Black with red lettering, just like my Camaro.

Yes it is a real "SS"... however on the Chevettes, "SS" stood for "SuperSlow".

Or on GM's side, "SuperStupid". What a way to water-down the SS designation. There's nothing "sporty" about a chvette.

The SS moniker will probably find it's way onto every chevy with a hint of sportiness (even if it's just gfx and wheels). Sadly, that trend has already started.

Lol, Chevette SS though? Just when i thought i've seen it all, this pops up out of nowhere. Maybe there's an "SVO Pinto" that i'm not aware about.

Nah..... . . .

That was the "ABC Pinto" ... the ABC designation standing for the ABC-class fire extinguisher that was dealer-issued with every purchase!

Look at that "S" car go!

Pretty soon, they are going to have to use "S" and "SSS" to designate which cars are more or less sporty than all the "SS" Models.

For some reason, I don't remember any SS trim on Chevettes when they were new....was this some dealer installed regional thing?

Anyway, let me get my flame suit on. ZZZZZZZZZZZIIIPPPPPP.

Hmmm...a small RWD, 5 speed, 4cylinder hatchback from Chevrolet.

I LIKE IT! (ducking for cover).
