GM: Instead of killing off Pontiac, why not simply pass it to Holden??

(edit: admittedly GM-Holden technically owns GM-Daewoo, but they're still built in Korea.)

Regardless, Holden makes only two cars (Commodore and Statesman + variants), and you say maybe a third some day.

Assuming Pontiac had every Holden, that is probably 50K max North American sales. Which is great export profit for Holden, but hardly justification for handing them the whole brand.

My statement about GM's incompetent marketing still stands tho. It's been nothing but down since they centralized brand management in the 1980s -- they need to find a way to decentralize it, even if they took the extreme action of handing it off to Australia.
