You hit it "Right on the Head"! I hope they see all of the '05 Stangs on the road and get some fire under their @$$...

Not always.

Z/28 was created to go up against SCCA Group 2 Mustang notchback/GT350R/GT350.

Ford then built Mustang Boss 302 to go specifically against Z/28 both in the showroom and road racing.

It wasn't until 1982 that Ford created a new and revitalized GT performance package to compete with the all new '82 Z/28.

In 1993, SVT created the (for the time) ultra performance Mustang Cobra, specifically to compete with the LT1 4th gen Z/28.
