You're one cruel bastard, aren't you!!!

My God, that's funny.... Ballsy, but funny!

You guys like that idea, eh?

What can I say...leaving the bank here feels like the most liberating thing I've done in my life. I'm dying to get back out there, and be able to run a showroom on my own terms. I've watched the Pontiac store run itself into the ground for the past 6 years due to mismanagement. If it wasn't for that, I never would have left my full-time spot there in the first place.

Yeah, I'm pretty ballsy, and after talking to the sales staff on Saturday, the dealership needs a little swagger to it. I'm actually thinking that I should park the Power Wagon across the street from the 2 dealerships, where our main lot is with all our new cars. That way, every time they or a customer looks out the window, they can see we literally do crush the competition

I have to check into the legality of it before I do it, but its private property and I'll make sure the truck is secured...damn, this is gonna be fun I have to check and see what we have for Power Wagons on order. Something tells me the lucky Power Wagon will probably sell even faster when someone sees they can crush a Honda Talk about a magnet for road rage junkies

Check with your town ordinance people before you do that just to make sure you don't ruin the Honda and then get told it's an eye-sore or against code and to take it down. It may sound crazy to you but I know for a fact that it wouldn't fly in the town of Collierville where I'm setting up my new restaurant. We have a hard enough time getting them to allow us to set out a small "now hiring" sign.

Don't worry, I've already thought of that I will likely have to rope it off, and indeed, it may be an "eyesore" per town ordinances. I may end up just doing it, taking a picture of it, and using it for advertising or website purposes.

wow... i thought your dealership sold much more then that... a whole dealership to move 10 new cars a month and a jeep/dodge/chrysler to move 35-40 a month

lol wow, we move around 300 new a month... and about 200 used a month... and we are pissed about not being more...

I think the RAM-on-Honda-hood is a great idea... and if you lowered it gently on there it might not qualify as an 'eyesore' especially in some small towns...

Lower it??? Naw...DRIVE IT up there

NewbieWar,

You work in LA...I work in Western MA. There is a complete night and day difference. Plus, with both places, that is NEW car sales only...each sells 2 to 3 times that many used...so in reality, where I'm going sells nearly 100 total per month...that's 1/2 of what you sell in LA. And we only have 4-5 salespeople!!!!

Re: GM did their part, so we did ours

I've yet to buy new, but I definetly feel a little weird not driving a GM vehicle for the first time in my life. For what its worth, my CL is great and I've enjoyed it alot. Great ride, good power, great interior, sleek yet understated body, sporty handling. I originally intended to get a 04 or 05 GTO, but couldn't find one in the price range that I was in. I got my CL for $4k less than what I would have spent on a GTO. I firted with GTO idea, but in the end I've got other stuff to pay for now that I'm out of school, like student loans and a wedding.
