It sounds tempting. But I have to wonder, why is it that whenever GM is not actively going out of business, they start looking for companies to buy? Of all GM's issues, I've never heard anyone say, "You know, GM just doesn't have enough rescources."

475 out of an LT5 was EASY -- extrude/hone the plenum, do chip and exhaust, and there you were, pretty much. Some ex-Lotus guys working for Lingenfelter got 'em over 600, which was... a lot to be putting in a C4.

Yeah a lot of companies did it but Lotus had a pretty cool way of doing it from what I've read.

Dad's 93 ZR1 put down 369 rwhp with a K&N intake and Corsa exhaust... stock everything else. Don't think it'd take a lot more to get it to 475 flywheel hp.

My '90 was close to that (362 rwhp if I remember right) with K&N and a TriFlo system. The wisdom among ZR-1 owners back then (mid '90s) was that the extrude hone on the plenum was the best bang-for-the-buck mod out there, and that was the key part of the 475 hp packages Doug Rippie etc were offering at the time.
