General Motors Says Orders for Camaro Sports Cars Outrun Supply
No dealers near me have them. The 2 big dealers have none as of yesterday (at least on the lot that I could see) and another more rural dealer had a $5000 make up on a $27K 2LT (probably done to keep the car on the lot). These cars are being sold as soon as they get them.
I also saw 3 2010 Equinoxs' on a transport truck yesterday.
Will Camaro be the 2nd or 3rd best selling car at GM for June 2009?

It’s a little early to jump to conclusions yet ... it’s only been on the market for a few months. With the Camaro having a such a large following, plus seven years of nothing for the faithful to buy, it was inevitable that it would be sold out for most of the first year. Heck, even the fourth-gen sold like crazy for the first year or so. The real test will be what happens after all the loyal fans and first-on-the-block types get theirs. I suspect there's not a lot of appeal outside of those groups, and we'll see demand drop significantly by this time next year, and only go downhill from there.
At the dealership I work at we're selling them almost as fast as they come in. I don't think any, aside from the first car we received, sat for more than 3 or 4 days. I think we've had 8 or so come through, with 4 of them being RS/SS, one SS or two SS, one 1LT, and the rest 2LTs.
I saw my first one on the road about two weeks ago(yellow SS, possibly RS/SS) while I was out cruising in my 69. I've only seen 2 or 3 '10 Mustangs and 2 or 3 Genesis coupes so far too though.

I doubt they'd add any additional structural capacity ... it's pretty expensive to do that. But they are running weekends and through vacations to max out their existing capacity as it goes through this temporary surge of demand.
Our local Greenville dealer is pretty big, nada, haven't seen a single one there. I have yet to see a single one on the road here. The ONLY one I've seen so far was when I was 4 hours away in Greensboro, NC for Memorial weekend. It was bright red and gorgeous! The Ford Dealer across the street has 7 or 8 2010 'Stangs, about half n half.
I would like to add that there is A LOT of Challengers running around my area. I've seen a few 2010 Mustangs running around too.
