G6, Torrent GXP...Pontiac gets shafted again
Sure looks that way. Only the SEMA show car had better wheels (which seem to make a big difference in this car's look, IMO).


And all we've heard is that Pontiac needs to lose its boy-racer look, that the cladded up '90s Pontiacs and cartoonish '98-02 WS6 were an embarrassment, and that even a GTO couldn't have hood scoops until it was too late. Now they seem desperate to get that audience back.

So do I, but that's what was being pushed down our throats. Find a Pontiac review by one of the popular mags from that period that doesn't mention it. GM bought into it and thus the de-clad Grand Am at the end of its run and the generally sedate look of the current lineup. And now this G6 GXP grossly mates the two philosophies.
