Chevy is producing a high volume RWD chassis. there is a coupe based upon this chassis slated to have a "design study" at NAIAS. we believe this to be the next generation Camaro. now, like Josh said, there is a new Pontiac model coming "very soon". could this new model be based upon the same chassis the Chevy coupe will be sporting, or could this be the RWD sedan based off "Zeta"(you guys know which one i mean). hmmmmmm.........
Hmmmmm.......who said NAIAS? Could be sooner......Could be later..... Could be EARLIER.

Could be what you said, could be something new. With a "new" model the possibilites are endless.

Can't wait for a few months from now.

You're right and as I said, the Karmann system either meets, exceeds General Motors tests, OR exceeds their competitors tests for the highest price hard top 'verts.

GM is not kidding around. The end of the decade is going to be sick for the company, and not a bad sick, but a 21st century "21 year old" (like myself) "sick" for the company.

Lutz knows how to design 'em.

I had posted awhile back in a thread about the GTO that the next gen GTO would be displayed along with a Sunfire replacement at NAIAS as per my buddy at GM Tech. We'll see if either shows up or something totally different.

All these things could be pointing towards GTO. If it is, GMNA and Holden have done a very good job of keeping things under wraps.

Then again GM did flat out tell us there would be a 2008 GTO, didn't they?

They did but that was a LONG time ago. I think it could be a Pontiac Sedan. It would be easier for Holden to produce at the start of VE since their sedans will be first. After 1-2 years I think we will see the GTO return on VE along with a Monaro for Holden, unless the NA Sigma based Zeta was chosen for GTO. I would say the waters are really muddy right now.

Re: G6 convertible dead?

If Pontiac pulls a GTO concept out of it's butt for NAIAS, I'll be shocked...pleasantly shocked, that is.

The '07 GT500 production car will be there.

And, although Chrysler hasn't officially confirmed or denied anything...almost everyone is expecting a Challenger concept.

Most importantly, throw in our car, and it sounds like a great show.

I think we need to make sure that our car doesn't get overshadowed by the others. Anyone have any ideas on ways that we can make an impact on how well the car is received? The whole board flood GM with letters again? Write all the mags? Something to make the hype for this car huge. (I'm sure it will have the hype on it's own, but There's nothing wrong with too much hype.)

LOL , you wont need to create any hype . The simple fact Chevy is gonna have a Camaro concept on display will be enuff to ensure a VERY packed house at the Chevy display . If you dont think it will draw every bit of the ENORMOUS crowd the 05 mustang debut did , I think youd be mistaken .

A challenger with a "hemi" (wooo, everyone loves a "hemi") might get a good size crowd too, though. I was just saying that it needs to be a clear cut most talked about car at the show. I know it will be a big draw on its own though.
