Considering the number of jobs that would be lost in such a merger, and the financials involved (assuming $15B in debt to gain $11B in cash), I imagine that Granholm would indeed be Michigan's resident expert

GM is figuring thats the only way they will ever see 33% of US light vehicle market again. They have Hummer, ACDelco and their world headquarters up for sale, and they are now looking for an outside investor.

I agree by just having her comment on this deal isn't helping anyone.

Not even he is dumb enough to sink money into this mess. He made his bet with Ford, and is now having a hell of a timing trying to unwind that mistake.
