Arrow FYI: 3900 in the CSV's is just fine.....

I just got done driving our first 2006 Terraza with the 3900 V6. You can certainly tell there's an extra 39hp under the hood. Actually, it felt fast and yet smooth, just as a Buick should.

The entire vehicle felt and looked of very good quality. For those of you who are going off the looks alone and dismissing the CSV's, you're only doing yourself a disservice. Very nice quality feel to them.

And now those looking for a hotter CSV, this is the ticket.

I just wish they put the damn volume they had available for that motor into the Torrent/Equinox and Lucerne!! 2 new GM models with 2 lackluster engines (3800 in the case of the Lucerne).

The CSVs will not sell any better with the extra 39hp, but you gotta belive the Nox and Torrent would with an extra 55hp...

Luceren should get the 3.6 HF as a base engine.
I wonder what the cost of production of the 3.9 vs the 3.6.

My theory has been a similar one to that.

I've always said that the 3800 is a great standard motor with an unbelieaveable following, and rightfully so too. But then make the HF 3.6 an option for those who want that DOHC type motor, and then keep the Northstar also so that everyone is happy.

Std 3800 for the traditionist

opt HF 3.6 for the DOHC lovers

opt Northstar for those who want V6 power and sound.

Makes sence to me.

Dont even bother keeping the 3.8 around. 3.6 should replace a LOT of GM engines, but I wont go onto that rant, at leat not now
