ford vs navistar

Given the position Ford is in right now I don't think they can handle a long-term disruption of engines from Navistar for their Super-Duty trucks. It seems to me that Navistar is in a better position than Ford.

The engine changes were mandated by the New EPA standards, not sure who has to eat the costs in this case...?
They were late to launch due, as I heard, to engine PCM problems, but that was supposedly fixed??...

The courts ordered Navistar to start production back up.

Navistar was using its only card, to try to force Ford to settle with them on the lawsuit. It obviously didn't work.

The court also forced Ford to pay full price for the engines.
