I knew it wasn't going in the Mustang but I'm surprised about the F150.

The Boss would have been for trucks only. The Mustang's motor will be a 5.0L based on the Mod motor.
I seem to recall that Ford killed this program once before, in the 2004 timeframe. Had it been allowed to flourish, it'd probably have had a couple strong years of sales under its belt by this date. Whether that would have been enough to pay for the program is anyone's guess; the relative weakness of the 5.4L didn't stop Ford from selling a huge number of trucks and SUVs in the meantime.
Gotta wonder how much precious cash has been burned up on this program in the process of pulling the plug and then reviving it a few times.

The one postponed is the 6.2 that was headed into the new P415 platform (F-150, Nav, Expy, etc). THey have delayed the launch of the new platform due to slowed sales (and inventory) and also to allow for market stabilization. The new F-150 will come out, just months later.
As for Mustang... full speed ahead. No changes, no worrys.
Seems weird to call a truck motor "Boss" though - a name that I think most enthusiasts immediately associate with Mustangs.
Made more sense when they were calling it "Hurricane" (or is this not the same thing?)
It will be unveiled this Novenber at the Los Angeles International Car Show.
Chrysler didn't steal anything.
They would be sued if they did.
The LS and the Hemi block don't even look alike..
Neither do the heads.
The starting point for the block is the old Chrysler small block. The 360 to be exact.
