First RWD Impala spy pics?
Actually, old school RWD had lots of front and rear overhang, and a fair distance from front axle to A pillar. The '96 Impala was definitely old school, as was the F4, and as is the Crown Vic.
A relatively large amount of distance between the front axle and A-pillar is characteristic of most RWD cars. The overhangs had nothing to do with the location of the drive wheels, and were simply something that was in fashion at the time for larger sedans. Look at the B-body, Panther, G-body, LH, etc. - all had excessive overhangs.
I say thank goodness that isn't the next Impy, because whatever wheels drive it, we were promised a drop dead sexy car that harkened back to the Impy's of the glory days and that car looks exactly like what it appears to be, a Buick. Even a good looking Buick is not a retro themed Impy.
Man... aside from a GS Stage 1 when is the last time you saw a buick pulling the front tire, in a turn no less.
You guys have allready figured this out to be fwd, I'll add the B-pillar also shouts epsilion.
