I would think the same applies. you get viper DNA, a BAMF look, and some big friggin wheels...plus the 60 hp and tourque advantage
honestly though, the 6.1 equipped truck will probably be a better deal...

I guess I need to clarify...

I mean from a performance standpoint between the HEMI 6.1 IN A TRUCK compared to the TRUCK SRT-10. I believe that the former would be a much better bargain...

also depends on if they offer the 6 speed with the 6.1
i do agree with you, to make that clear, just saying OVERALL the srt-10 will likely be a better performer still

Bargains have nothing to do with these buyers. Camaro is a better bargain than a Corvette, a Mach1 is a better bargain than a Cobra, the Caprice LT1 was a better bargain than the Impala SS. It's all about package and marketing. If it's different enough, exclusive enough, and still has some edge over it's lesser brethern, it'll sell. Bargain or not.

What I DO think the point of the 6.1 Hemi is:

Ford's V-10 Triton has 310hp & 425 lbs/ft of torque
Chevy's 8.1 V8 has 340 hp & 455 lbs/ft of torque
Dodge's Hemi 6.1 will have 440 horsepower & 448 lbs/ft of torque

The current 5.7 Hemi has 345 hp & 375 lbs/ft of torque.

Sounds like the 6.1 is going to be an overachiever.

Will the 6.1 only be available in the HD and 1/2 ton and heavier trucks? I heard also that they were going to bring back the V10 for that.
