I had the dirty NBM Camaro... on Friday as we rolled straight into BG at 1:00
(it was raining driving up there and the car had bugs...)
On Sat. it was washed and ready... (I was wearing a Rockets cap with the red "R")... blue tank top SS from the vendor who showed up in the 35th...
With some luck and better coordination on my part, I'll be at the next F-body event at BG.

I go to BG a fair amount of times and am already looking forward to spending some time with good folks.

We shall get it hooked up.

Heh, it'll be like that until the end of October. I would have gone but I didn't even know it was happening. And the last time I went I didn't meet any board members anyway.

Re: A Couple Thoughts After Bowling Green...

What this board needs to do is put a sticky somewhere for a meeting at BG. I posted about the meet back in August, and got few responses. My post was revived by someone else a day or so before the event by somebody else who said they were going. I posted about the breakfast summit, too. Oh well...like the SSOA, maybe cz28.com can get a cohesive meeting together down there one of these days!

Either way, it was awesome Although I do admit, I don't mind seeing the Z nestled safely back in the garage, either

Re: A Couple Thoughts After Bowling Green...

Yeah, it would be nice if we could have a little CZ28.com contingent at all the major shows and events. I hope the NAIAS thing comes together for us.

If you think BG is hot, it's 6:23pm here and it's 97 degrees. Uuuuughh, when is Fall again?

I had a great time, being there Friday/Saturday only, until my transmission ate it Saturday after Shaker Village. Oh well, trailered her home and getting the tranny done as we speak.

I'm trying to remember your car...there was a dark green LT1 car at Shaker Village, too? Where the hell were you in line?? I remember the 4th gen maroon V6, a bunch of SSs (obviously), but I don't remember another LT1 car aside from that guy with the 1 of 1 '95 Indy Pace Car vert. This is going to bug me now

Re: A Couple Thoughts After Bowling Green...

It was great to meet and chat with you again. Hopefully we'll cross paths in Detroit this January.

Thanks for the "Coles notes" version of the breakfast. Winning the autoX makes not being there hurt a little less.

Re: A Couple Thoughts After Bowling Green...

Yeah I was the dark LT1 car. I was inbetween the orange LS1 SS and the 2nd gen on the end. It happened after we left, luckily Thomas was behind us, with another fellow F-body owner (the twin turbo) and We got a ride to a rental place. My brother drove down the truck, and we trailered her home. Currently getting rebuilt. Here is a link to my cardomain, on page 2 there are 2 pics at the bottom to refreshen your memory. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/678908/2

Ah hah!! Now I remember. Those wheels look great on that car I meant to find you and tell you that. Sorry about the tranny woes...I can see my car in those lawn pics, too

poSSum,
See you in a few months, assuming all goes well!

Glad to hear things worked out.

I was driving the NBM Firehawk that stopped to make sure you guys had enough room to get everyone back.

Jason, I saw your Z parked in the circle. Sweet car!

Next year swing over to www.chirpthird.com and hook up with us if you want to break the ride down to two days. We had a couple from Manchester, NH along too. We met off I-84 on the way down.

Thanks Jason, finally bought the wheels, just in time for the gathering. Thanks for stopping Chris, luckily there was still some people behind us, I don't know what we would have done without Thomas knowing the area. and luckily everything worked out good.

Re: A Couple Thoughts After Bowling Green...

Chris,

I saw your Hawk...I never had a chance to stop by and say hello. I love Hawks, and haven't seen an '00 with your spoiler in person, ever. They look even better in person than in the SLP pics...

Thanks for the compliment on the car...its been my baby for almost 5 years now. It killed me driving it down there...try keeping a white car with white leather and white wheels clean for 1,000 miles each way!!! I can't believe how the seats got smudged, even with a towel on the bottoms, the windows rolled up the whole way, and only getting out of the car for gas!! The car is a PITA...but I love it more with each passing year. This one is a keeper, for sure...

Yeah, it was fun parking in the circle...I felt important up there with the other anniversary and pace car models I'm planning to sign up over at chirpthird soon...I'm sure I'll see you over there as well. Not so sure if we're going back next year, between the time/$$$$/mileage issues...but I really want to

Like I said, nice car!!

I only got to go to the dragstrip but it was fun. I was visiting my brother at WKU. Did anyone else see that Lemans Blue Z06 driving around the highway and Scottsville RD. Pure Sweetness. That car is unexplainable in person.
