Perhaps there are no rear vents on C6... the rear vents on C5 were done as a necesity... the mufflers were building up too much heat behind the fasica and causing warping from what I understand... they were required to disipate the heat.

I also wonder why these are the only lenses on the body here...

Yeah, that is strange. I don't have any special program to see if the rear fascia say Corvette. Can you see it? I know what the text will look like, thanks to being a dealer and seeing a page with it on, but do you see it on the rump?

Look at the bottom of the car on the passenger side under the taillights... there is a small indention there... which is exactly where someone said it was going to have the Corvette script... rather than between the taillight groups, as it traditionally has... not sure I'm too crazy about that either...

Oooo. Not good. Not a fan of that either. Like the rest for the most part. I'm really fired up to see a completed car now.

look at the back above the lights on the trunk, either their going to put a light there or there going with a small spoiler very similar to the ferrari 360 stradale in which case it will look twice as good

i'm still iffy about that front facia though

As to why this is on a boat site, go to http://www.stupidfastboats.com/vette and you'll see that this guy's a C4 owner. to this guy and whoever is responsible for the leaked pics will soon get

This car looks like as much of a real deal as I've ever seen. The connection of it looking like the old Stingrays is obvious in my eyes. It's very much a step up for the Vette.

I'm surprised nobody has questioned why the exhaust tips are there?

I don't like the back-up lights way down there at the bottom. Also concering the rear vents, the mufflers should be in the same spot that they are on the C5s, so I guess they have found a way to do away with the vents.

I saw a magazine the other day at Joseph Beth called Chrome and Flames that had pics. of a complete silver C6 on the cover. After closer inspection I could tell that the photo was rendered, anyways they had it with a split-front grille, and it looked pretty good.
Anyways what I am getting at is did anyone notice the slightly different color that the front clip had. I am willing to bet that the front clip is probably one of many mock-up different style front clips.
The pics. were from back in the summer, its possible that the front clip design was not finalized when these pics. were taken. So what we are seeing maybe is not what we will be getting, or vice versa this maybe what we are getting.

Any thoughts

Yup.
The pewter C6 coupe rendering and the silver C6 'vert rendering were awesome looking!!

They look so much more athletic than this white one. More lithe, more svelte.

The sharper lines on those renderings make those cars look crisper, tighter, almost smaller.

Can you tell I like the renderings better than this white one?

And regarding the pics. Something fishy is up with them. If GM didn't want us to see them, they would have been gone by now.
And how about the caption above the pics: "Could this be THE new Corvette?" or something like that.
I think they want us to see them.

I'm thinking that is where a long LED CHMSL is going to be....

Most likely because the front and rear fascia's are made of a different material than the rest of the body....

I was wondering that too, especially considering there is no engine. I like everything but im not too sure about the front. And it does look very viperish too me. which isnt necessarily a bad thing

Here is a colored pic with lights i found.

yea, i think that looks like dead on viper material
i mean, i like the viper and the looks and everything, but if the c6 looks like that, it's a shame
it'll destroy the originality that the corvette always had

Not sure I believe the back up lights at the bottom of the body theory. For the last 20 years, the lights have been on either side of the license plate, and it looks like there's enough room for them on this particular rear end. Also, there are no other lights mounted anywhere on this shell, why install backup lights? Also, look at the second shot, you can see through the rear wheel well that there is no hardware in there except body and support, so where are those exhaust tips hanging from?

All in all, I like it pretty well. I don't like the single grille, but the rear is a big improvement over C5 IMO. I guess we'll all find out in January. My personal opinion, GM has created a full body shell decoy for C6, then disguised it to make it appear they were concealing the real body. I may be crazy, but I just have a feeling, we'll see something different in Detroit, not radically different, but different nonetheless. I won't believe anything until I see the pix from Detroit, I'm just not gonna get all excited or disapointed until I see the real deal from GM.

Another thing, why are these pics still on there?
