Not only that, but the front end reminds me of many other sports cars:

Camaro
RX-8
Stealth
Viper

.... and the front still doesn't look "Corvette" to me... the rest of the car does... but not the front.

I thought that the front end looked very S2000 ish. The lights will set it apart hopefully. Kinda wanted a little more differentation from the current C5, but at least its not retro (retro cues ok).

The front looks a lot like the Stingray concept (yellow car).

Headlights should be similar to the C5R race cars.

The 3rd brake light on the rear looks like the XLR version.

Don't think the Corvette owners are gonna like the abuse the paint will take around the reccessed door handles.....

Does looks somewhat Viper-ish.......I seem to remember that early concepts were re-thought after the new Viper design came out........looked even more similar I hear.

Should be a stunner though

I hope C5 prices continue to drop...may just have to get me one!

My thoughts exactly once these start hitting showrooms.

I'm not sure I like it.

It looks to derivative; too much like other vehicles.

There's styling elements on it that we've seen elsewhere for many years.

I, too, thought Viper from the front.

That pewter rendering was WAY better.

I'm still of the opinion it is way to plain and ordinary looking to be a corvette.

I think it look bad@$$. Maybe a dumb question, but anyone have an idea where those pictures were taken? It doesn't look much like a factory, more like a small bussiness garage.

Someone else said Bowling Green has a blue and white paint scheme like that... I am trying to recall from my factory tour...

I wouldn't be surprised if it was BG though.

Hmm it's on a boat site. Boats = fiberglass. Could it be that someone who is very good at working with fiberglass fixed up a C5 to look like some of the spy shots that are floating around?

A number of insiders on the other boards are confirming this is the real deal.
