You're getting Z28 racing stripes on your car?? Cool.
Nah the roof, its like why not just paint 1 of my doors or the hood a different color than the rest of my car?!

I like the black top with dark tinted windows because it makes the top of the car look like a black dome.

I LOVE the blackened headlight pockets on the 3rd and 4th gen LT1's... and I really like my black roof too... well, the rest of my car is black as well but hey! But actually I kinda like the black top on them 4th gens... the thing I really hated was the black side mirrors on the 4th gens... I dont know if it was only on specific years or what, but it looked tacky, a red camaro with black side mirrors...

Maybe this is too minimalistic.. but why not offer the black recesses on all camaro models? Obviously some people like them, others don't. The only downside to offering them on all models is dilution / lack of distinction. But more cosmetic choices are *always* better for the consumer, with no exceptions.

I always liked the blacked out roof MUCH BETTER on the 4th gen Z28 than I did the monochrome roof...
And I am willing to bet the majority of people did as well, BECAUSE:
Chevy offered a monochrome roof treatment on Z28's in, I believe 95 & 96, at no charge.
It was apparently not ordered enough to justify it's continuation...

I love my black roof.
When I replaced my front bumper I had the new one painted gloss black in the "grill" area and around the headlights. Looks much better that way than without the paint....IMO. While I'm at it, I like the black door handles too.
I was also looking into maybe painting just the top of the spoiler black, too. Though I don't think I'd spend the money on it right now.
Of course, my car is bright red. It wouldn't look that good on the darker colors (green, tan, maroon)

Well it seems to me that the people here who really care about blacking certain parts of ours cars are doing it themselves anyway. So how about on the 5th gen not black out the headlights and so on and let people do it themselves if they care to. That way no one is alienated and more Camaros are sold.

I never liked the colored mirrors either. But I do like the doorhandles black. I'd say the 5th will have blackout options since it is a Camaro thing, I just really hope the headlights get it.

well on the same note, you can have all the 5th gens have blackouts and so on, and for the people that dont like them, they can paint them the color of the body themselves if they care to... it works both ways... Im not trying to be disagreeable, I just wanted to make a point that either way, someone is alienated....
