I'll give you that the HHR doesn't look as bad as the xB, but my point remains that I don't understand how anybody could look at one and say "that looks decent" and then look at the other and say "that looks terrible". To me it looks like bad and worse (HHR and xB and others in that arena)

I have no issues with the styling of either the PT or the HHR. I don't particularly like them, but I don't hate them either.

xB... it looks misproportioned and plain... but still inoffensive IMO. There's not enough there for me to hate.

On the list of ugly cars, I still haven't seen anyone top the Aztek.

Which oddly enough, was designed by the same guy that designed the C6, and the Camaro concept, Tom Peters.

I love both the PT Cruiser and HHR. I think the HHR is the better looking of the two. There are quite a few of them on the roads around here and the new HHR Panel looks sweet too.

Looks good, nice and sportier looking... got rid of the "too much chrome" grille and has good looking wheels.

By that reasoning...then if you like the vehicles that were in the Aztek's class, you should like the Aztek, or if you like a certain sedan, then you should like all sedans. The HHR at least has some personality, not just a box on wheels, although the xB replacement is a step in the right direction.

My reasoning is not based on vehicle class but, on car look - to me the same basic reasons that the HHR is ugly are the same basic reasons why the xB is even uglier.

It's a step in the right direction in terms of style, but based on what I've read (i.e. take this with a big grain of salt), they've ruined several of the most appealing aspects of the original.

I'll be damned, I actually like it I'm looking foward to seeing it in person to see if it still looks good to me.

The HHR was based on the 1949 Suburban. That might help some of you to "get it". The grille on the HHR SS screams Dodge (except for the bowtie emblem).

Edit: I Googled the HHR and came across this photoshop. I like the front end of it. I'm really not judging the window treatment they gave it.

That isn't a photochop it is an actual GM concept they had a SEMA a few years ago.
