I'm sorry, but that thing is ugly. If that is made it will just ruin another good name.

email the company right away for a styling change..

looks like a Malibu and a Impala had a child..and the surogate is the GTO..

Was that black on they showd last an Elky? That looked pretty cool, but I didnt like it as a chevelle. I liked the car, but I dont think it looked like a chevelle.

Not very original considering all they did was add a little Chevy flavor to the Holden Monaro, Commadore and Ute (which is something Hot Rod Magazine also did to create a Chevelle SS version of the Monaro early last year).

However, very probable, based on GM's desire to bring the Ute to the States and capitalize off of Holden's other RWD products.

But dammit Jim! I wanna see a Chevy version of the One-tonner!

Ok, IMHO the 70 chevelle is one of the most beautiful cars that was ever made. That thing doesnt live up to the legend at all as far as looks goes.

Question

I realize that most of our memories of the Chevelle were from it's glory days of 1966 to 1972.....BUT there were many years after that in which it's "identity" was severely lost.....so what a Chevelle is "supposed to look like"....I can't say.

it's not bad looking. but it looks more like the SS Monte and SS ElCamino of the 80's. you can really see it in the nose piece.

I’ll be the second.

I’ve actually been pretty much against the Chevelle coming back for pretty much the same reason Pontiac cant have the Friebird and GTO sitting next to each other on the lot.

However if Chevy wanted to they could drop the Monte and maybe the Malibu and bring up this Concept Chevelle line up. Should probably keep the Impy though. You need a large sedan.

Looks they spend a lot of time on this website. Pretty cool ideas, I’m ganna go back and look at it some more.

As far as the El Camino, isn’t that suppose to be here after ’05 or something anyway?

If you click on the Link on their site that say “Chevelle heritage” it shows you basically all the models since the 60’s. I honestly think this new idea fits. But I’m not shocked with the criticism here. It’s the same closed minded thought we saw when they first released the GTO pics about a year ago. But now I see nothing but praise for the new GTO. This car could be done to fit into the Chevy line up. One car could cover many different people’s needs on one dealership lot. However I could see this breaking into Camaro territory with the Chevelle SS model. But overall I don’t think the Chevelle would overlap too much if done like they have shown. Hard to say since this concept would most likely be built on the VE platform the next Camaro is going on.

Ok I’m rambling. I’m just going to end this, with “I like it”

GM take note!

If Chevy build a version of the GTO, then call is the Chevelle SS. Don't waste the name on a damn FWD Impalla
