Cheers and Gears
people get ahold of your selves!!!!!!!!!! some on here did some sketches about a month ago and were told that they were very close to what the 5th gen would look like.
also, it has been said a million times, it isn't going to be retro, but it will have cues from the past

Did anyone notice how the door panel is right out of a 4th gen? I can't tell about the rest of the dash. I am sure it is just someone messing around and not anything official or based off of anything.
IMO, this is the closest thing to the 5th Gen so far: http://home.comcast.net/~blackwoodga...chevycoupe.jpg I'd bet on it.
To me if the car looks really 1st Gen like that it won't be a terrible thing as long as the car is not a complete retro design and you can still see some new and other Gens in it somewhere.
All-out retro is ghetto. It would be cool if it could have the fender lines of the 69 but a body shape and the center crease of the 67, 68, and basically every other year Camaro up to 92 instead of being flat on the sides like that and the 69. I think the C&G concept is like this. I also don't want blended mirrors.

I really need to take that down. That was my weak attempt to merge the Nomad concept with the rumored 5th gen styling cues.

another note for NO one the Nomad nose.
I still think that the next Camaro needs to look at the major GT supercars of the present time. The Aston Martins, Ferrari 575m and 612 along with adding some "Camaro" cues. I think that the Camaro will be way more attractive with a "Euro" design. The 2nd and Third gens look very much like Ferrari's of the day. I think GM needes to keep that going. Give it the look of a super car, but for 25-30k. Forget retro cues, but keep true to the nature that is Camaro.

Retro is appearently the product/automotive equivelent to comfort food to get us through these tough times. I say 'apearently' because I don't buy into it. I champion the revolutionary products that get you past the bad times and into the good times again.
As bizaare as it may seem, I think Chris Bangle defined retro design greatly in an autoweek article a few months back (April?). He summed it up more more tactfully that I have been lately.

The Camaro has always had the a European flavor and can be connected to those exotics in some ways but going too much in that direction is no good either.
