I remember that. I liked parts of it, hated others.
If I remember right the kid who did it knew nothing of the history of the GTO and was more proud of the fact he modeled the whole car in Alias (or some other high end surfacing software) than what he had design.
At least what I read in the magazine blurb about it.

The GP coupe was a really attractive car and its not made anymore . The GTO looks like the perfect styling update and replacement for the GTP coupe , and in 2004 $$$$$$ it costs roughly the same . The last of the 2002 GP GTP coupes in every option form were stickering at about a tick below $30K .
Nice trade off I think
