Classic cars are becoming a profitable investment, my buddy's pristine '86 GN was purchased for under $9K, now he could get twice that for it...in about 6 years. And will only increase at an advanced rate as time passes.
I guess if all of your friends have Lamborghini's, Porche's and Ferrari's, you can show up to a special event in something they can't...rare makes them eccentric.
