I dont really care...build a decent looking 5th gen...retro or not I dont really care....just pleeease dont make the 5.3L the biggest available option. We have got to have the LS2 as LEAST as an option. I think they will make the LS2 the only available V8. They almost have always had he same engine as the vette...why change it now?

If the Camaro got a LS7(450-500hp) which won't happen, but anyway for arguments sake
then it would be the winner against a base Corvette with the LS2 assuming there is only a 200lb weight difference between the cars.If both cars had the LS2 then I can imagine the camaro being faster if it has a solid rear axle like it has been for ls1 vettes against the ls1 f-bodies.
A 2006 ZO6 against a Camaro (LS2 or LS7) would get owned.
That is all.

The point is, that when the LT-1/L-82 was in the Camaro...it was standard equipment in the Z/28. The same motors were an uplevel performance option in the Corvette.

You could not get a Z28 without power windows, locks, upgraded stereo, leather steering wheel, power seats, etc. These are all luxury items.

I know. I was just referring to the LM-1 and L-48 because they were base Corvette engines.
And when the LT-1 and L-82 were available in Camaro, they were standard in Z/28...and optional in Corvette, over the base L-48, ( L-48 was standard in Camaro SS also).
