Camaro Z/28 vs Challenger SRT-8 vs Mustang GT500

I can hardly wait!

These will be the best performing ponycars in history. At least 425-475 hp for all of them. If everything pans out, Z/28 should have world class handling. As far as Challenger, imagine the LX's sophisticated chassis bits on say....a 10" shorter wheelbase coupe, with a much sportier tune than the sedans. Mustang's IRS should also have it's issues worked out.

Any thoughts?

Yep. Although we now have the quickest cars in history, we are about to enter a golden age of automobiles that's going to put every other age to shame.

According to the article in the June '05 Hot Rod magazine the GT500 will have a solid axle, not IRS.

Don't be a buzz kill.

One thing I heard on another board from a person that's kind of tied in I suppose...
SRT version of the Challenger MIGHT get F/I.

Umm, I am all for the performance but i hope the z28 does not fall into the same 40k price class as the other upper level variants!

I suppose because people who like cars like this don't care about mileage, not a great deal anyway. Besides, if you're coming from a truck or SUV, one of these would get a good deal BETTER mileage.

Presuming the LS2 doesn't get a horse power upgrade, I honestly don't think we will see a camaro north of 390hp available at the dealership. Corvette rule anyone?
